Trade License procedure and documents required.
Documents required for application for Trade License:
1.
ID proof-Aadhar, PAN, TIN number, voter ID etc.
2.
Address proof- Ration Card, Bank Pass Book, driving license.
3.
Own building: PropertyTax Receipt/Sale deed, Rented Building: Rental agreement.
4.
Installation license (if machinery is used in the trade, Installation certificate is given by the TPO)
a.
Less than 5 HP, installation license is not required to be submitted by the applicant
b.
More than 5 HP, applicant has to submit the machine specifications, installation diagram, then the application is forwarded to the council for approval. More than 5 HP machinery is allowed only in the commercial zone (as per Master Plan) and not in residential zone.
Procedure for granting Trade License:
1.
Applicant fills the online application and uploads the documents.
2.
The file goes to sanitary inspector (of townpanchayat). The inspection date will be selected by the SI in the portal and an intimation is sent to the applicant through SMS and email.
3.
SI conducts inspection of the premises and the machinery and prepares the inspection report by entering the details in the online portal. The details for fees calculation are entered by the SI. The fees for trade license is calculated by all details as decided by the council/ Executive officer and published in the District Gazette.
4.
SI forwards the file and inspection report to the concerned Sanitary Officer (respective zone).
5.
SO scrutinize the file, inspection report and conduct inspection if required. Forward the file and the inspection report (from the SI) to the executive officer. Note: In case during his inspection if he finds any irregularities he will send the file back to the SI for a rework.
6.
Executive Officer will scrutinize the file and provide his approval. Note: In case of any irregularities he can revert to SO.
7.
Once the application is approved, demand notice is automatically generated by the system.
a.
In case of manual procedure: The demand will be sent to Junior Assistant (Public Health)/ SI (in some places) who takes a print out and forwards the same to the applicant.
b.
In case of online procedure: Once demand notice is generated the applicant will get an sms intimation.
8.
Once the payment is made,
a.
Manual procedure: the request goes to SI/ Junior Assistant (Public Health) to print the license and send it to applicant.
b.
Online procedure: the applicant can directly download the certificate.
